Newbie trying to decode Serial Number: HELP, please?

WOW! I guess you never realize the following something has until you try to find information about it. What a great site... and it's interesting to know that Airstreams have such a devoted following.

The reason I ended up here is that a buddy of mine found an Airstream sitting in a field in Vernon County, WI, and is interested in the possibility of obtaining and restoring it (and in recruiting my help to assist him!). Despite its current location, it appears to be in relatively good shape. No photos to attach... I apologize.

He asked for my help in researching the particulars of the trailer he found and provided me the following Serial Number: 28TS/S0321

Can anyone provide information or direct me to a reliable resource for decoding the number? I'd really appreciate the help. Thanks!

I would say it's a 1960 - 63 California built 28-foot long Ambassador Land Yacht with twins, most likely an early '63.

For some reason the '63 Ambassador link isn't working, but the '62s stop with 0315...so 0321 would be a '63. In '64 the number format changed.

Shari is correct, the numbers make it a:

1963 Ambassador 28'
Ohio | 28 3 T(D) NNN (I for Int'l trim)
California | 28 T(D)S S 0316 to 28 T(D)S S 0372
T=Rear bath Twin; D=Rear Bath Double
