Newbie needs help

I have a 1973 which is now permantly parked since my wife died in 1993. I miss the traveling we did until her passing, but at 83 I won't go alone.

Some time back the refrigerator was repaired. It has worked fine, in fact perhaps too good. The freezer section fills wiith ice, undoubtedly do to a bad gasket. Does anyone know if and where gaskets for a Dometic RM75 are available?

Arnie.

Arnie,

Really happy to hear you are still enjoying the Airstream. Look at this site and scroll down to the 800 number - they may be able to help you. The gaskets they have listed seem expensive to me.

Something else that may work is Frost King X-Treme Rubber Weatherseal - 3/8" wide by 1/8" thick - at any hardware store. Place it on the door so it will center on the edge of the freezer box lip.

Best wishes with your Airstream.
