Newbie- need help

Hi
My husband and I bought a 1975 Globetrotter 21 a few days ago. We are excited to make the camper road worthy but have a few questions. Under the couch we found the wiring box and some of the wires are not connected. Unfortuantely we didn't receive a manual or any info with the AS so I am in need of some help. If anyone could help tell us what the wires are, email a schmatic or has an owner's manual to share or for purchase we would greatly appreciate it.
Any help would be appreciated! We are so excited to get on the road and explore.

thanks in advance...

Congrats on your purchase and welcome to the forums. I guess the first question I would ask is whether or not all your lights work. You could also look around in the Globetrotter forum or in the Electrical forum of this website.

Wires and Manual

Greetings and welcome. I'm working on a 72 and found a similar situation with some wires not being connected. It is hard to know what the PO was thinking. Anyway, I found a sevice manual on e-bay. There is a fella that has made great duplicates of the originals. They are bound and the printing is good quality. They are worth every penny. No complaints about that purchase. If you bought a vintage unit this manual will be your bible. Good luck. See ya....

You can also order them from Airstream directly...no need to wait for one on eBay!

From the Vintage Airstream website FAQ's section:
Quote:
Q: I need an owners and service manual for my Airstream. Where can I get one?
A: The first owners manuals were published in 1964. Prior to that, the owner received a brown envelope containing parts lists and other helpful information on the accessories in his trailer. The VAC has started making these available in the Members Archive section. A service manual with instructions for performing service operations did not exist until 1972.
You can get photocopies of owners manual (1964+) and service manuals (1972-1986) from:

Helen Davis Secretarial Services
PO Box 484 Sidney, OH 45365
(937)492-8885

Prices are about $33 and $70 respectively. After 1986 the Owners Manuals included available service information.

E-Bay Info you requested

I am not sure what years are available, but it will give you a starting point. Check out the link. eBay - airstream service manual, Parts Accessories - buy and sell on eBay Motors

The seller may be able to answer details about years available ect. By the way, I felt like the shipping was prompt and neat. Good Luck.

thanks for all your help- I order a service manual and a owners manual on ebay.

Now I need to figure out where to get a 7 pin connector cable so I can hook the trailer to the the car. And also a new door lock- seems like ours doesn't lock from the inside.

Checked with the ebay seller last week with your original post. He sent me an email yesterday and said he had the 75 manual copied and ready to go. It should be out on ebay now.
