Newbie loving the lifestyle

Hi I'm Troy. My wife Tammy and I bought our 1989 Airstream Excella 28 ft a few months ago. We have a Dodge 3/4 ton we pull with. We have camped several times and are currently looking for a camp host position in East Texas. We have applied for several. We love the Airstream so much we have considered going full time but want to try it out for a few months first. We are interested in rallys and meeting other owners. We have so much we want to do to the Airstream like getting a new couch (having trouble covering the converter in the spot), polishing the outside, and fixing a few mistakes made by previous owners- painting, etc. However, we love the tile and wood flooring, and most of the Airstream is all original. Can't wait to meet you!

Welcome aboard Troy and Tammy. Don't know how long you've been on the forum, but there is a TON of information on here that ought to cover everything you want to know, as well as a lot of stuff you'll wish you never knew. We just attended our first rally a couple weeks ago, and it was stinking awesome! We went to Canopener at Topsail Hill Preserve State Park in the FL panhandle. Great group of people, and a lot of fun. It was so cool to put faces to all the people I've been "talking" with for the last two years...

See you on the road some time!

-Red, still stoked on Canopener...

Somebody ought to clean these windows. There is a tremendous buildup of gook all over them...
