Hi. Haven't got my airstream yet, but have purchased the tow vehicle. I live in Maine and would love a small 19-21 foot Argosy or Airstream. We would just be weekenders for now. My sister has a 25 ft excella and if I want to hang with her, I have to have the proper trailer, she's not hanging out with anyone in a sob.

Hello Pattyo and welcome to the Forums! Looks like you have a Honda Pilot from looking at your profile. I'm not real familiar with them for towing but do know they don't have a lot of towing capacity. I'd be wary of matching your sister's 25' Excella. I know some threads have mentioned it -- try using the 'Search' function on keywords: Honda Pilot

Hi and welcome to the forums. Based on the towing capacity of the Honda about the only thing you should be towing is an Argosy 6 metre minuet. It weighs about 2400 lbs dry - empty. When it's full you'll be at about 3000 lbs. You will also probably want a weight distributing hitch. I sometimes tow with a similarly rated vehicle... not great - but OK.

Because she's my sister I allow her to hang out with me even if she doesn't own an Airstream/Argosy yet.

Plus she is attending International with me this year.

BUT, when she and her husband do find the perfect Airstream/Argosy that they can tow with their SUV she will OF COURSE join the WBCCI New England Unit - right Patty?

Hi peo and welcome. I have a Saturn Vue with the same engine and transmisson as your Pilot. I love it but would not try to tow an AS. What fun to have a sister to join in AS camping. Good luck on your search for a great AS trailer. joe

We picked up our "new" 1977 Minuet 6.0 on Sunday. Towed home with the Honda Pilot (which has factory installed tow package). Both vehicles did great! My spouse was actually able to back it up our hill which, is at a 30-35 degree angle and 200 feet long on the first try

Now it's time to take a closer look at it and see what needs to be done. The interior is mine, the outside is his (seems to be standard). My sister shel has already enrolled us in the WBCCI, Region One, New England Unit. Hopefully our first trip will be the Alumination Celebration! It's only 10 miles away so I don't think we'll have too much trouble. I have been "lurking" and reading posts for weeks now and now have to start sorting all this wonderful information out. Thank you all and hope to meet many of you soon.

Whew! I commend you on an amazingly good choice for your Honda Pilot. Yes, thanks to Janet. I know that you'll be happy using this TV in the dual role of an about-town vehicle and stealth Minuet hauler.

Back to earth here -- it is hopefully a very short matter of time before we have access to the remaking of the RV world and realities of most families' vehicle choices. Many of us have seen the new Airstream Europe offerings. I do think that would garner a lot of attention if Airstream USA were out in front on this!

Congrats again -- I saw my first 6 meter at the Midwest Forums Rally and think you have a winner -- until you know how loony you want to get! A challenge to Michelle & Leon!!!

It's hard not to use asterisks!!!!! BTW, our parents (shellys's and mine) also own an Airstream, but a motorhome. Now we cover the map! Argosy, Motorhome, Classic Airstream.

I inherited the original 1977 Argosy Minuet Owners Manual!!!! I will try to scan it all into the computer to forward to anyone who would like it. It shows electrical, plumbing, bad 70's fashions, etc.

Airstreams are quite addictive. I can see spending much denero updating and replacing things, and having fun doing it!
