Newbie Introduction from Kirkland, WA

Hello all,

First post to make introductions to the community. Just got back from a trip over to the VAC Region 10 Rally in Monitor, WA where my wife and I were exposed first hand to the enthusiasm as graciousness that the Airstream community offers. We met some great people who spent time showing us their trailers and sharing their experiences with Airstreams, and the RV lifestyle in general. Special thanks to Janet, Gail and Greg for going the extra mile to make us feel welcome (Janet, hope we cross paths in the future when I have a guitar or dobro with me to pick some tunes).

The wife and I are in the process of searching for our first AS. We have tent camped over the years and recently spent a few nights in a rental AS to try it out and loved it. Still trying to figure out what we want and so far it looks like it will be some form of 25' with a middle bath. We have picked up the TV (a 2012 Silverado 2500HD Duramax) which will tow anything we choose to buy so now it is just the wait and search until something pops up.

Airstream Forums is a great resource and I look forward to making new acquaintances and learning about all things AS.

Welcome from a fellow NW Washingtonian. Good luck with your search. We are new to the Airstream world too as we purchased our used trailer a year ago (Craigslist ad from western Montana). We love it!!
