Newbie in LA

My husband and I just bought our much-researched first airstream, a 2015 27FB International. Its our first airstream and first RV so its all exciting and new and occasionally overwhelming so were looking forward to learning from the collective wisdom of the air forums.

That process actually started when we trundled down to the dealership to see our new baby for the first time. The Greater Los Angeles Airstream Club was having an open house and the dealer had set up our new airstream right there at the party, complete with the requisite pink flamingos (see avatar picture). So we had our very own housewarming party and tons of great tips to get us up and running. (thanks, guys!!!)

After dry camping in an airstream rental for a week last year and running out of power on day 2, we decided to do some dry-camping upgrades from the get-go. So we waited a few weeks to bring her home to get solar & extra awnings installed and my husband is still working on upgrading the batteries. But shes home and weve taken her on her maiden voyage and were looking forward to seeing the LA airstream club folks again soon at Rivernook!

Congrats on the new rig! We also live in the Los Angeles area ( near Universal Studios), and will be at Rivernook. We owned ours for a year and a half before making the time for it's 'maiden voyage'. We just returned from that trip ( southern Utah/ Northern Arizona). The whole experience was amazing! Looking forward to meeting you at Rivernook!

Congrats on your new rig, as well! Maybe I'm using the term 'maiden voyage' incorrectly. We just took it up to Lake Cachuma for it's shakedown cruise. Our first big trip will be up to Bend, OR for Thanksgiving. We're crossing our fingers and toes that there won't be any ice. We're definitely looking forward to taking her out to Utah with our bikes soon.

Looking forward to meeting you guys at Rivernook as well!
