Newbie in LA
My husband and I just bought our much-researched first airstream, a 2015 27FB International. It’s our first airstream and first RV so it’s all exciting and new and occasionally overwhelming so we’re looking forward to learning from the collective wisdom of the air forums.
That process actually started when we trundled down to the dealership to see our new baby for the first time. The Greater Los Angeles Airstream Club was having an open house and the dealer had set up our new airstream right there at the party, complete with the requisite pink flamingos (see avatar picture). So we had our very own housewarming party and tons of great tips to get us up and running. (thanks, guys!!!)
After dry camping in an airstream rental for a week last year and running out of power on day 2, we decided to do some dry-camping upgrades from the get-go. So we waited a few weeks to bring her home to get solar & extra awnings installed and my husband is still working on upgrading the batteries. But she’s home and we’ve taken her on her maiden voyage and we’re looking forward to seeing the LA airstream club folks again soon at Rivernook!
