Newbie in KY

Hi everyone. We're the new owners of a vintage (1967) Overlander International. Hubby and I are in the process of renovating the old girl. Slow process, but hope to be finished by this time next year.

Hope you have fun doing it!

I just posted a question about Pickled Bologna the other day --- the only place I ever had it was in KY. Do you know of it? Brings back mixed memories.

Welcome

67twinkie I know you will find AirForums to an invaluable help with the restoration process. There are also a lot of nice AirForum Rallys to attend.

I hope you will also take some time to check out the Kentucky Unit of the WBCCI. We currently have 58 units throughout the state with several members in the Richmond, Nicholasville and Russel Springs area. We are always looking for new owners to share ideas and remodeling tips with.
Check us out at www.kentucky.wbcci.net

Hope to see you at a rally soon!

Larry

Pickled Bologna

Funkill,

Not to HiJack the thread but couldn't resist the pickled bologna. This is still available from Fisher's Meats in Louisville www.fischers.com

Also lived in Melbourne, Fl in the early 70's. Was just a very sleepy little town back then. One of the really early exclusive Airstream parks used to be located adjacent to the airport. It was always fun flying into the airport especially when landing to the West you would see all the Airstreams shining in the sun. Many with their flags flying.

Ahh yes, pickled bologna. Definitely an acquired taste. I loved it as a kid, but can't bring myself to eat it as an adult. That goes for regular bologna, also. Too many pieces/parts for my taste

Welcome 67twinkie,

Glad you're here with us.

Keep us up to speed on the renovation and post some progress photos so we can ooh and ahh.

Regards,

Kevin
