This was your first post, so, Welcome to the AirForums!
Now that the social pleasantries have been observed, what's with this "email to start a discussion" stuff? That's not how the Forums work!
If you have a specific question about your Interstate, go to the "Sprinter and B-Vans" section of the Forums, and search to see if someone else had the same problem and got an answer.
If that doesn't help, then post your question in the "Sprinter and B-Vans" section for all of us to see, and we'll chime in with whatever advice and commentary we may have. Believe me, few of us would bother privately e-mailing a complete stranger to ask, "What's your question?" if you're not even willing to publically ask the question first.
Once you've asked the question on the Forums, and we've taken a stab at answering, THEN you can move the discussion to private e-mail with a specific responder if you think it's beneficial.

Or, I sent you a pm a while ago, if that's the way you prefer to communicate.
It can be hard to get specific information through thread search function, at least that has always been my feel.
Titling a thread "New Interstate Owner", or something similar, might be a good way to go and to get the info you need. There are a number of us on here.

I teach at Vincennes University and have a number of students from Olney. Thanks for your responses. I am new, not only to RV'ing but also to on line posting. My apologies to anyone I may have offended by posting incorrectly. I hope to learn the forums as well as my new unit.
I asked for a PM simply because I don't know how to navigate the postings yet. I can see the advantage of keeping many messages open, as others may also be new and need information. Please feel free to contact me either way.

Nobody was offended. Least of all me. If my reply made you think otherwise, then I apologize in turn.
However, I meant it when I said that if you have a question, you ought to post the question first, rather than waiting for people to contact you to find out what questions you may have.

Either way, let us know how we can help.

Damon, Tell me more about it. Where? I would like to meet others and join the groups. Actually, I don't know enough to ask questions. I'd like to set up with someone or group sometime and get directions and guidance.

Doug and Maggie, thanks for your offer. I am sure I will be emailing you often. For example, when I leave the unit for a few days or a week, should I shut off all power to save batteries? If I'm not sure how long I'll be gone, should I shut it off just in case?

We turn our battery off when our unit is unused for any period of time. Pull into the driveway, unload, turn off the battery. So, I would say yes, turn your power off,
We usually plug in for at least 36 hours before we leave, as we want to be pretty fully charged when we head out.

As for rallies and meeting others, look at upcoming rallies to find something you are interested in and close enough to. Follow the directions to sign up, follow the thread discussions and show up.
