Newbie! Embarking on a year long reno

My husband and I just purchased our very first airstream (and very first travel trailer in general). This is new territory for us. Weve been talking about plans to do this for years, but the stars finally aligned! Im really excited to delve into this project and Im looking forward to all the future challenges and learning experiences ahead.

We are planning on regularly uploading videos of the entire process! If you want to get to know us a little bit and why were are doing this you can check out our first video! https://youtu.be/YuE2SAS_-k4

Hello from Colorado: Welcome to these Airstream Forums and the vintage Airstream hobby. I think yo will find a wealth of information here about your trailer as well as like minded folks who enjoy helping others.

I'd like to direct your attention to the Airstream Trailer Knowledgebase found near the bottom of the Forums page. This section of the forums is where people dive in deep on a particular model and year. Many of us do "project threads" where we document the progress made and also ask for help and advice.

I'm renovating a 75 Overlander 27' and have such a project thread going. It is over two years old. It is linked under my name below. See if you can find similar project threads on your Excella II 31'. You can see how folks both made necessary repairs and how they finished the interior.

Thanks so much, David! We love Colorado and go there frequently to camp, that will probably be the first place we take Norma when shes done.
