Smile Newbie asking for advice

Hi, I'm David, we just made down payment on a 25FB twin and have a little time before delivery. We had a 64 Safari (19') some 12 years ago and took it around the States, but this is longer and a bit more $$$. While I wait what would be beneficial for me to do, besides pray. Thx

Welcome
Get copies of Rich Luhrs books, The Newbies Guide to Airstreaming and The (nearly) Complete Guide to Airstream Maintenance. They are worth their weight in gold.

Hi David, welcome to the forum. Greetings from Central Kentucky

Do you have your hitch installed or at least picked out?
Does your tow vehicle (TV) have a brake controller installed?
Is the TV in pretty good shape? How about the tires and brakes?
Have you picked out a nice spot for the inaugural campout / shakedown?

Sleep until it is delivered... nah just kidding. We had a hard time waiting as well.

Prepare, prepare, prepare....

Get your things that go with towing, and camping. There are a few list here on the forums.

Make a list and go over it frequently. Place you acquired "stuff" in an area where you can find it readily to go over. Then just bring that stuff. We had stuff for home and then stuff for camping. That way we didn't have to look for stuff to take with us, like tools, dish wares, etc...

Then when you are ready to go camping, just go and enjoy it.

Just to provide a little more info, we have a 2015 GMC Sierra 2WD with a heavy duty towing package of some sort. It has the brake controller built in. The dealer is including a blue ox hitch and will do initial setup. Don't want to open a bucket of worms, but if it doesn't feel right and I can't get it tuned, I may go to a pro pride. Last thing I want is tension/stress to new to.

Thx, will. We're going to Gulfport to pick it up, by the way.

Get map out and plan an area of interest for you. The waiting is the hard part
