newbie airstream wanabe

Hi,
I am looking for a cool little used airstream that our Mazda tribute can tow. I'm also looking for a used airstream that might have a bunk that our 3 1/2 year old would really like to sleep in. I haven't seen any so far. Maybe they don't exist. We've had a pop-up for a few years and are ready to "upgrade" If anyone knows of something that would fit this bill please let me know. Thanks. It's good to be on this site and learn some valuable info on my quest for nirvana

Hi and welcome to the forums. I think about the only thing your tribute will pull is an argosy minuet 6.0 or an 60's Bambi. Minuets (6.0.) are about 20 feet long and weigh 2400 lbs dry. Check your vehicle specs before you get serious about a trailer. Good luck.

Be careful

I agree with Janet, the Tribute may not be enough for anything over 3500 lbs and that might even be too much weight. Read your vehicle manual for the towing specifications to be sure of the limits. Short wheel base tow vehicles can be a bit scarry even if they can technically handle the weight.

Please do your research before towing ANY travel trailer with a Mazda Tribute. The receiver on a Tribute may only be a Class I; not up to the job of towing any trailer over 1000 pounds. As previously mentioned, a very short wheelbase vehicle and a heavy trailer is a recipe for disaster.
