Newbie '64 Safari

Just wanted to drop in and introduce myself!
Picked up a 64 22ft safari the other day. Will soon be converted into a mobile bar (complete with serving window on the road-side of the trailer). Solid frame, solid outside skins, just needs a few access panels covered up, new marker lights, some overall TLC and we'll be in business (once the interior is built out of course).

First time owner of an AS, so i'm looking forward to this project. I think i've already caught the AS bug and cant wait to do more of these once this one is knocked out!

welcome to the forums! once bitten by the vintage AS bug, it's hard to cure. the only known cure is working on another AS. look forward to seeinh more of your project. kurt

Don't know all that much about Airstreams, but i'm loving them already. In the middle of gutting this one and stripping off layers of crappy interior paint already.

Many folks use old Airstreams as a mobile business, or stationary for that matter. There is an outfit here in Colorado that custom builds Airstreams to the customers specs for their business. You might like looking a "Timeless Travel Trailers" website. You might get some ideas.
