Thumbs up Newbie

Hi Everyone .What a great Airstream site. I have Norman Rockwell Edition 1997 34" trailer 7526 WBCCI #which we tow with a Chevy diesel Any other Norman Rockwell owners? I am missing some of the accessories that should have been left in the trailer when we bought it.Bedspread and pillow shams and the Zip Dee chairs.

We live in Kamloops BC Canada and our trailer is hibernating for the winter covered in snow and looking very cold and lonely. Won"t be long though and spring will be here and then look out. We are planning to attend International and hope to see some of there.

Welcome Ralph! I've seen some photos of a Norman Rockwell Edition somewhere but don't remember if it was this site. That's a cool coach you have. Now that you've found the forums, you'll have something Airstream-ish to do while your Airstream is hibernating.

Thanks for the welcome.

Thanks sugarloaf for the welcome. Yes it is the airstreamish thing to do..... I guess yak with other airstreamers who have nothing better to do than cruise websites for airstreams. Which by the way I do endlessly drives my wife nuts she can't figure how a person can become so obssesed. Oh well better than looking at internet garbage!

Rivet Welcome!

Glad to see another 34’ owner. The Norman Rockwell editions are somewhat over the top, even for Airstream owners! Not sure if it is for me, but I am a huge Rockwell fan. I do get a little grief from the professional artists that I know. I would also be interested in knowing how many of these exist.

On a tangent, I recently saw a reference to Arlo Guthrie’s Alice’s Restaurant. It seems that Officer Obie was a real officer in Stockbridge, MA, as long as the Internet is to be believed. (A Tribute To Officer Obie) According to this website, he even posed for Norman Rockwell. Kind of fun, anway.

How about photos of your new baby? I have some of mine at http://www.airforums.com/photos/brow...d=17830&page=2.

Norman Rockwell

Vaughan,

There were 50 NR's one for each state. and I had to sneak one into Canada hope you don't miss it.
The trailer isn't really over the top it is line with the limiteds of that year just with a NR theme which my wife are nuts about. I don't have any pictures on my digtal cam that I can send right now but once the snow is gone pictures will be taken.

hi bus driver and welcome to the forums...

there are only a couple of members who've posted on the nr edition...

http://www.airforums.com/forums/f142...ell-20608.html

http://www.airforums.com/forums/f281...tion-7605.html

http://www.airforums.com/forums/f48/...gend-7837.html

i recall seeing one or 2? at the international rally in salem two years back.

what color are the awnings?

the zipdee chairs can be acquired easily from z/d in the correct color...

but IF they has some special silk screen, they might be a challenge to redo.

a/s DOES have the lettering /logo at the factory store for that model i recall seeing it there for sale.

cheers

Rivet Over the top is a relative term for Airstreamers!

Hi Ralph,

Neat! I didn’t realize there were so few. BTW, I didn’t mean over the top as a bad thing. I do look forward to photographs, especially since I have seen so few. Like I said, I am a big fan of his work.

Never seen a N.R. edition trailer, but I stayed at the house where N.R. painted.
It is now a B&B in Vermont run by very nice people from Napa, CA.
