Talking Newbie 1st trip.

Our first trip in our new 1988 excella 1000, with no owners manual. We stayed at the wrong RV park. We didnt know there was two with the same name. Couldnt get the new airconditioner to cool the entire 30ft AS, is there a secret? What a disaster can not wait to go again. Rae

Greetings from the Florida Panhandle

First off, welcome to the Forums. We're glad to have you with us.

Sorry about the campground thing, but stuff happens. As to the air conditioner not cutting it, you may need to put some reflective material covering your windows between the glass and the curtain. If your a/c unit is blowing cold, try covering some of the windows and especially your skylight with some of that silver reflective insulating material from Lowes.

When it's super hot out, letting all the light in just kills the air conditioner.

Where were you camped and at what temp/humidity that the AC wasn't keeping up?

If you were in Texas anytime in the last month, and not in a 100% shade spot, one AC wouldn't be expected to keep a 30' trailer 75 degrees. If it was 85F in the shade and you were having problems, that's another story.
