newb from Austin with Bauer

Just put the buy in for my first Airstream, a 2012 1/2 25' Eddie Bauer on year end close out. I wanted a vintage Airstream buy my wife put the kabosh on the idea referring to my 3 year old 240Z restoration project that is still not finished.... Figured the new ones can't be that bad

Hope to meet you guys out on the road. I'll try to drop buy the meetup in Black Rock City Nevada in a few weeks. I won't be pulling the Airstream there as I want to do events close to Austin where I live, but will be great to see some dusty aluminum.

Check out the 2d Annual Hill Country Rally thread. The rally is September 28 - 30 at Johnson City. Not far to tow, no membership required, and a chance to meet a lot of great local Airstreamers.

I'll be there a day early.

By the way, a young lady with a Bauer usually attends.

I should mention that we are members of the Texas Highland Lakes Unit of WBCCI. We're the largest and probably the most active unit in Texas.

Our website is Texas Highland Lakes Unit and I am the webmaster. We have a monthly luncheon the first Tuesday. This month, it is at Luby's on Brodie Lane in south Austin. We meet at about 12:40 and eat at 1:00, after the noon rush.

By the way, I had a 260Z.

Just remember, there are no dumb questions. You will meet a lot of years of Airstreaming and anyone there will be glad to answer if they know or point you to someone who can.
