Talking Newb

Hello to all.....Newb here. Been lurking and watching this site researching AS for the better part of a year now and we've finally taken the plunge. Any and all questions I've had so far have already been discussed and answered in great detail. The depth of knowledge and experience here is pretty amazing.
Thanks to all,

Cheers,
Bruce

Welcome Bruce.

Congrats on making the leap to ownership, and from lurker to posting member. We're glad to have you with us.

Kevin

Thank you gentlemen, glad to finally be here!

TB, I see you travel with a couple of 4 legged companions. We have 3 hence the larger trailer size. Two of which are of, shall we say mixed heritage and a lab. All showed up as strays. They sure are great company.

Cheers,
Bruce

Zeke -- How did you settle on the 27FB? Wife and I are just starting our research (probably a couple of years before we plunge)? The FB seems attractive to both of us as well -- I'm just curious as to how users make their choices on floor plan.

Teakinmin,
It has been a fairly long process. We've tried several different types of RVs over the years but were never satisfied with what we found from road manners, construction quality, size.....it goes on. We like a bit of room and have three.....yes three dogs (2 small ones and a lab) that travel with us most of the time. We travel on and off an average of about 50-60 days a year covering 10 - 15000 miles so road manners, hitching, maneuverability not to mention comfort were the factors that lead us to AS. We came from a 36' fith wheel and wanted something smaller so that eliminated the 34 and 30 ft models and also really liked the comfortable feel of the Classic interior as well as the upgrades like the larger water tank. We do some boondocking. We considered the 25' models but felt they were just a bit confining between us and our furry friends and they didn't have the warm feel of the classic. So the 27fb Classic it was. We really like having the living area in the back because in most places that is the best view and the most privacy. The forward queen berth works for us as you can walk all the way around the bed plenty of under and over the bed storage, two bedside stands and besides, we like sleeping together.

Hope this helps and good luck with your search!

Cheers,
Bruce
