New York to California

Hello Everyone,

While on a family visit to up-state NY, my wife and I saw a 1974 Overlander on the side of the road for sale. We looked at it, fell in love with it and bought it. The only problem is we are from southern California.

Flew back to California picked up the Expedition, drove 3000 miles to NY, hitched up the Overlander and drove 3000 miles back! She pulled like a dream. I have just begun the restoration. Look forward to discussing issues with you guys.

Thumbs up

You have definitely been bit by aluminitis. What a great trip you must have had, going home. Plans, plans, plans. . . .

Sounds reasonable to me

Congrats on the new acquisition - you're gonna have a great time with it.

Wow, 6,000 miles to get your trailer. I'm impressed!

Where in upstate NY?

Hey, you were nearby, and did not stop in to say hello...and stole one out of my backyard? I'm missing an Overlander...just kidding... Seriously, I am interested in where it was, near Clinton? On route 12?

Hi, woodchucker2,

You've certainly outdone me. I went 1,000 miles to get my trailer (in March to Michigan... with snow.) I hope your trailer treats you as well as mine has!

CONGRATS on the coach!!!!! What a perfect way to start out with your airstream, a cross country drive. I am envious. Hope to see you on the road.
