new to the community

After years of reading , learning and just plane enjoying this form,I decided to take the plunge and join up.I would like to thank the countless posters that have shared there knowledge, frustration, compassion answers and sometimes wit with the community. And in so,doing have helped take this form to the level it enjoys today.

My interest in airstream began in 1954 ,when as a very small child on a family vacation to Banff Ab. I saw clustered in a meadow a circle of bright shine trailers. After asking my uncle what they were, he told me he thought they were called airstream. After all these years it I still see those trailers like it happened last summer.

We traveled to and through Banff most weekends during the early fifties so this is where I first saw Airstreams as well - somewhere between Calgary and Banff. A whole slew of the suckers in a field - I was amazed, and that was it for me. Had to have some (one is NEVER enough)

Yes Fred that looks like the area. I saw them from the road and a different angle. The mountains in the background help confirm the location.

Barry, could well have been the same group of trailers. I don't imagine there would be many caravans of silver trailers traveling around in back then.

Once again thanks to all.
