new to rv'ing

We purchased this nice looking 89 excella about 5 weeks ago but have not been able to take it due to a bent stabilizer foot which I replaced. (carefull the holes in the new part didn't match the old, had to drill new holes). More importantly is the Coleman A/C draining into the inside pan, which fills, then the water drops on the floor. The normal drain runs between the walls of the trailer and exits at the bottom. Access to the top of the drain does not seem possible without removing the upper A/C unit. Blowing compressed air (up to 40psi) from the bottom of the drain yielded only a very temporary result, the draining reverting again to the inside. Can anybody come up with a solution ? Pierre pe.pica@hotmail.com or call 228 323 5817 The idea of RVing is also an altenative to boating which has taken a nasty hit with hurricane Katrina here on the Mississippi Gulf coast. We are still without proper harbor/marina facilities and even the Coast Guard station in Gulfport MS is still operating out of temporary trailers. I am also an active coxswain with the USCGAUX FL35.Pierre Willems

You need to clean the drip tray. or keep blowing it out until the crud all drains down. I would use 20 psi or less. the drain tube is not designed to handle any pressure.

I’ve had similar problems this month myself. Get up on top and make sure the tray is clean, or it will just re-plug the drain. Good luck.
