New to our '72 Airstream & IN LOVE

Hello! Our family has had a 1972 25' Twin-Double Tradewind for many years but has kept it locked away in storage. We have recently resurrected this old beauty and have been camping at our local beaches all summer. We are so in love! Everything is original and in excellent working condition. Luckily it was stored in a very dry climate and was always treated with TLC. We are still working out the sleeping arrangements as we are a family of 5, with 3 children under the age of 3. The original lounge is gone (which provides tons of open space) however it leaves us using a blow up mattress to accommodate our family, hardly ideal. We joined this forum so we could collaborate with seasoned airstream travelers and get some ideas for recreating the lounge and hopefully getting a queen size bed out of it. Looking forward to meeting fellow airstream lovers! Cheers, The Ostaniks

Welcome and congrats on the rig. We are glad to have you with us and it is great to hear that you are getting your children engaged in the outdoors.

As for sleeping arrangements and space management, I suggest you touch base with PizzaChop. Ron and his Wife travel with nine children and have this subject down to an exact science.
