New to membership looking for Airstream

I have been looking on this site for a year or two. I have lived in the Sierra Nevada community of Arnold Ca. for 26+ years, first part time then full time until this past fall. I sold my place in September and moved down to the Central Valley of Ca. To say this has been an adjustment would be an understatement. trains, planes, cars, people, streetlights, and everyone lives closer than I can ever recall. But i will adjust. My camping days go back to pick-up trucks, Coleman canvas tents, and then pickups with camper shells (luxurious!)

I need an outlet to get back to nature, more frequently and for longer periods in order to maintain what diminishing sanity I have. I have always traveled, have been to many places nationally and internationally, but have always loved the US and Canada. My plans are to buy a 27 ft AS to hook behind my Ford Super Duty and take off to see how much the rest of this country has changed in the last 25 years....and to hopefully find the people haven't really all changed that much.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Greetings from the Florida Panhandle

Welcome to the Forums. We're glad to have you with us. It sounds like a great plan. Get out there and see the USA.

Welcome and good luck! It’s hard for me to imagine leaving the Sierras, but life is always changing!

Greetings from Colorado: I'm glad you decided to sign up and participate here. As you know, an Airstream makes a great travel trailer. A 27' is a very nice size indeed.

I'm with you. I don't like congested cities and neighborhoods. I prefer the country near a small town. A guy needs some land around him for some privacy. I would need a very compelling reason to live in a city.

I found my Overlander 27' on the Airstream Classifieds here attached to these Forums. Airstreams are hot sellers right now.

Good luck in your search. Maybe you can park your new Airstream next to your house like we do. Why do I doubt that.
