New to Forum and Looking for an Airstream

My wife and I are looking for a new project. I own a 5th wheel and will sell it when the purchase and renovation has completed. I am up for suggestions. I am looking for a 25' to 28' Airstream. I plan to do a full renovation (so include suggestion e.g. better to renovate a 1960s because ___). I am not stuck on a specific model or year so help here also.

Welcome we started small with a 1966 caravel! I want to eventually move up to a 70's overlander.

Gotta get busy! Have a great day! Now where did I put those revits?

Cillessen: If you want to see a bunch of Airstreams, most likely including several nice vintage models, come by Revolver Brewing during their open house on 20 April. My WBCCI unit is camping there for the weekend and will be doing an open house of our trailers during the open house of the brewery. It's on Matlock road.

Granbury Airstreams

A friend told me that there is a tractor trader in Granbury that had a couple of Airstreams for sale. He didn't know make or model, just older trailers. Might be something to look at.

Welcome to the forums.

I have a 66 Tradewind. I like the 66-68 Airstreams because they have curved side windows and real wood cabinets. Having said that, I think that each year has some features that are good and that may appeal to you. I suggest looking at all years and go for the one that you like the best. Buy the best one that you can find. It is kind of like looking for a mate imho.

Good Luck, Dan
