new to airstream ownership, would appreciate campground info

We just purchased a 1998 Safari 25 and are anxious to hit the road this June We would appreciate any info about Thousand Island or Finger lake Regions of Ny. We prefer state parks over private outfits. Thanks so much, would also like to hear from any other Safari owners as we have a few glitches to fix, mostly the awning support.

Welcome and enjoy the safari.

Not that your introduced yourselves make another thread in the Safari section with a title like......"New Safari owners have questions " and pose your question there. Then make another thread with a Campground question in the appropriate section. Put the name of the Campground into the title of the question and you'll get lots of answers.

If you have not been before, Watkins Glen State Park is very nice. It is pretty much right in the village yet a typical State Park.

Within the park You have direct access to the "Glen," a very attractive gorge with something like two dozen waterfalls within a one mile walkway - all paved / rock with staircases, tunnels etc. Very scenic!

A great app for your phone/tablet is AllStays. Makes finding and getting information on parks very easy. All the www.campendium.com website.

Another resource are the Airstream Owners Club members near you, some of whom are vintage unit owners like you! Check out the club at www.wbcci.org for more info. You will meet great people, share fun camping trips, and enjoy wonderful food and tall tales! 5809 will be looking for you!
