Hello,
I am new to Airstreams and this forum. Just became the owner of a 1969 Safari, in pretty good shape, I think. Wish me luck. Anybody know how to get an Owners Manual for this trailer? I'd like to start testing the various propane systems and don't wish to blow the place up!

Check this thread, it gives you a couple of options. Sometimes a member here will also offer to copy theirs for you. Good luck, and welcome to the forums!! Owner's manual
Welcome, and congrats on your new-to-you Airstream! Check out the search feature on these forums, as you're sure to find lots of good info on LP systems and appliances, too. Good luck!

hey, cool. I just got a '69 Safari 23' footer also. I have a manual, contact me maybe we can figure out a way to get you one.
a really GREAT RV maintenance guide is the one by Woodall's. i have learned SO MUCH from this incredible book. re: propane. I got a 'manometer' and follow the Woodall's to check for zero propane leak using the manometer. you'll want to do this. I give propane a great deal of RESPECT (FEAR). It can kill in a second. but what a buzz to pull a cold one out of your gas fridge!
I'm deep in a bath upgrade and hope to be back on the road soon.
Just a quick welcome aboard. This forum has been fantastic for me and I hope for you as well. I wish I could name everyone that has contributed to my knowledge base. Learn the search function...(it took me a bit). Next thing you know you will see a question from someone like me & have a suggestion because you found a good method to deal with the same or a similar fix.
Thank you all for your words of encouragement. This will be an interesting process. I am a professional flyfishing guide and unable to work on the trailer from April though September. So, its all winter work, and outside. Buck up!!
