New to Airstream
I just picked up my new airstream,to my suprise we found that the floor had a major squeek just inside the door,The door is so out of adjustment we had to slam it so hard that we woke half the campground we were staying in,and I could not get the awning in or out,it's sprung or bent ! The plastic vin tag on the side of the coach looked as if it had been removed and has void stamped all over it ! howerever the vin # number does match the other vin's on the trailer. I just wonder what airstream does with the buyback or problem trailers,Do you think I have one of those?Airstream says not, they explain the vin as maby a worker may have installed it wrong and pulled it off voiding the sticker, should I ask for a new trailer as after the second day of ownership we have so many problems ? I paid a fortune for this thing I thought I bought the best now I am not sure ! Thank's for looking at my problem Art...

Welcome to the Forums from the Florida Panhandle
First off, welcome to the Forums. We're glad to have you with us.
I sorry for your problems right out of the box. The VIN tag thing is a new one on me. I would demand that Airstream replace it with a proper one that looks right. The other problems you mention don'e sound like anything terribly unusual in a brand new Airstream. I would run it back to the dealer and have him correct those issues.
You did buy the best there is, but the best is not always perfect. Don't give up on Aistream so quickly.
W have an '05 25FB that we bought new. We have spent 250 nights in it and have pulled it over 30,000 miles. We have had numerous small problems that were either corrected by us, the dealer, or Jackson Center on our single visit there last October.

You may be doing everything correctly....but
A common reason for doors to need slaming and other problems related to frame torque is a trailer that isn't properly leveled.
You need to level the trailer, first side-to-side the front to rear. Then put the stabilizers down. Some folks try to level the trailer using the stabilizers, thereby putting forces on the structure that causes problems such as you describe.
I used to do the same thing, and have experienced similar problems.
Good luck with the trailer, and welcome to the forums!
Dave

Dave is correct about leveling. Sometimes if I have not torqued down my right rear stabilizer, I have an awfull squeek just inside the door.

I've seen people commonly mistake the 'stabilizer jacks' as 'leveling jacks'. I even saw someone retract the tongue jack and use only the front jacks to support the trailer! Don't ever do those things. Make sure you level the trailer first (e.g., blocks under wheels), then just snug the jacks down to keep it from shifting when you walk around inside. I'd say head back to your dealer and get some explanation for your concerns.
