Smile New to Airstream

I am very pleased to see that Airstream has a forum such as this since I am new to the Airstream world. We just purchased a 2000 Airstream 33' Land Yacht and are going to pick it up in Tampa at Longview RV. We could not believe the fantastic condition of this used coach and since purchasing and reading up on everything I can get my eyes on I think I know why - Airstream products are built with such high quality and generally by people that share that phiolosophy in caring for them.

We live in Mt. Pleasant, SC 12 miles from Charleston, SC on the coast. We have just retired and plan on seeing the country starting on the West Coast and working our way back across the US and Canada over the next 4-5 years.

We love to play and listen to bluegrass music so festivals along the way will be detoured for as we travel. Generally we just love to tour and are hoping that this is an ideal way to do it. Time will tell!

Warmest regards to our fellow Airstreamers from the Bluegrass Express.

Congrats to you two! We recently got a 1984 310 Limited motorhome and absolutely LOVE it, and the people associated with Airstreams here on the forums. That's great you were able to find yours in such good condition. And oh, I envy you in your retirement touring! We have a "few" years to go before we get there. Enjoy the heck out of it and be sure to post pictures of your new baby and of your travels! Everyone here loves pictures.

Welcome!

Susan

Talking Welcome from the Heartland....

Since we are in the "middle of things" please don't hesitate to come and visit and park for a while. Winfield, Kansas has one of the best "pickin' and fiddlin'" festivals in the country. We are a day's drive from there, but right off I-70 to the north east. We will start our travels in 22 months and 16 days.... not that I'm counting or anything.... enjoy retirement !!!

Dave & Pat,

Congratulations!

First thing you need to do is ensure that the roof and windows are sealed and caulked. Whatever else needs to be done can wait!

I speak FRom experience!

Frank
