New to Air Forums

Hello, Gene here. found the Forums when I was serching for parts for a 1978 Argosy 28 I just bought. New to RVing and Argosy and Airstream were my first choice for a motorhome purchace.

Any help as for direction for window seals and fuzzy weather stripping would be appreciated. Keeping it dry and ventilated appear to be the start of this project. Hopefully this is an operational project that improves as I use it. Currently having the transmission done at Aamco. It was out at purchase.

Anyway I expect to make some mistakes with the forum, if you catch me doing something inappropiate, let me know so I can addjust my activities.

New to Air Forums

Greetings Gene in Ga.!

Welcome to the Forums and the world of Vintage Argosy ownership!

While I am not a motorhome owner, I do know that the weatherstrips and other wear parts for your motorhome's sidewindows continue to be available. Some of the sources to check would include:Something to remember with each of the above sites is that even if a particular part or component isn't listed on the website doesn't necessarily mean that it isn't available . . . . often the part may be available but just isn't listed on the website.

Good luck with your coach!

I wanted to add my welcome as well, especially from another GA Airstreamer (trailer type). Th Georgia part if the WBCCI (an Airstream club) has a nice campground near you in Helen. There is a rally the 5th-9th of October. Everyone has been very friendly to us there, and they collectively have a wealth of information. I have seen several Argosy as well as Airstream motor homes at the rally's. A visit during a rally would give you a chance to look closely at some and ask questions.

Gene, this is Gene from Ball Ground Ga. There are many very knowledgeable good folks in Ga that will be happy to help any way they can. you need to make plans to come visit about 50 Airstreamer's Oct 21/22 at the fairgrounds in Hawassee. There will be an open house on Saturday of these units including motor homes. You will leave with more knowledge and ideas then you can believe. I will be in a 1976 in spot 10 and would enjoy meeting you. Good luck with your venture. Gene
