happy to have found this site and looking forward to getting advice from so many people with the same interest.. my 1963 streamline 28ft countess trailer is original and hope $1000 payed for will not become a nightmare.. Any words of encouragement would help .. Don't really know it's true value or if there are parts available .. would sure like to keep it and enjoy with my wife for our lifetime together.. after raising 8 children this is all I will ever afford and have to make the best of what little I could offer my sweetheart...

Welcome!

You may have already seen the other STREAMLINE trailers around here. As that company was a break-off of SILVER STREAK you may find info of use there as well. All the brands (and to include AVION) were still of a singular character in the early 1960's, one can almost feel it. This fades by the early 1970's and the usual MBA-initiated "cost savings".

Enjoy what you have, take your time (planning), and don't get discouraged.

Since you're nearby, take a run over to CAN AM RV and talk with Andrew Thomson about the best tow vehicle. Economy and safety can go hand-in-hand.

The www.tompatterson.com site has plenty of old brochures and advertisements. Collect all the technical specs you possibly can.

Good luck

.

Mike you may have answered my question on airstream sightings although it is hard to see and painted I think it may be a streamliner.
Thanks cliff

Hello Mike,

I too have a Streamline, though mine is a 1968 21ft Princess. These trailers were made solid and we like the floor plan of our Streamline better than our '58 Airstream Flying Cloud. I think you got a good deal on yours cause we paid more for ours (which was in worst condition).

Enjoy

I am the moderator and have chosen that platform due to the ability to upload adobe.pdf documents for general file sharing with other members.

I just got my '67 Streamline Empress, (29') a few weeks ago. I'm looking forward to traveling with my family in it. I posted some pics of mine on my thread here.

Welcome! We have a '66 Streamline Countess, but I believe ours is 26' I have a thread going in the Vintage Kin section and will be adding to the Yahoo group when time permits.

I see a few differences but they look pretty similar. I love the pink appliances!

We love ours, its just the right size for 4 people. I hope you enjoy yours! And if its in hood shape that's an awesome deal.
