Welcome from a fellow 77 Excella 500 owner. Are you going to replace the blue stripe or remove it completely?

The guy I bought it from polished it and bought replacement just didn't finish applying it. Honestly I like it without so haven't decided just yet. I do love it.

I see your from CA. Turns out I'm heading to San Francisco on business this week. Any airstream shops in the area I should visit?

The Airstream shops here won't work on our trailers as they are too old. Toscano's in Los Banos and Avalon RV in Benicia are the only ones. Bay Area Airstream Adventures in Fairfield is the largest dealer in the area.

Welcome to the most friendly and helpful (albeit "opinionated") forum for Airstream owners! We have a '79 31' ourselves. Enjoy the adventures!

Vinnie's is worth a check, but he is busy and may take a couple of months to schedule. There was a recent post that he moved, so not sure if web info is correct. Never seen a bad review.

Hope you enjoy your coach. Pat

Hello from Colorado: Welcome to the Airstream community. Hey, these forum participants are only opinionated about tow vehicles, hitches, tires, and winterizing. And maybe many other things too.

I have participated here for many years and find answers to my questions and enjoyable reading about the vintage Airstream hobby. Your 77 Sovereign 31' looks great. Has it been renovated as well as polished?

I just purchased a 75 Overlander 27' that I'm working on now. It has lots of needs, but I believe it will be a "like new" Airstream when I'm done with it. I may be able to recover the new items I put in it; for example, new axles, shocks, bearings and brakes.

Some previous owner painted a blue stripe on my trailer. It is a pale blue. Actually I kinda like it. I'll decide much later if it needs changed.

Jump right in and stay up all night reading about the Sovereign.

David

It was restored not renovated. I'm not sure what I will do just yet. I figure I will live in it and determine how I want to reconfigure and or renovate
