new post -er w/ '69 Overlander
Hi,
I have a lovely '69 Overlander that I purchased about a year ago. First thing I did was replace anything that leaked or no longer functioned. Since this old beauty had been the cabin at a deer lease for many years, it wasn't a surprise that the plumbing and blackwater tank were shot. So was the furnace and fridge. And the cooktop. Also the oven and the hot water heater. The pump and holding tank were still operational.
The interior is in great shape except for the flooring. Someone put in cream colered short shag - fabulous choice for camping! I've been thinking about cork instead. Wears well and has a vintage look.
I hope if anyone from Central Texas reads this that they will respond. I would like to know if Airstreamers gather here and could use any referrals to folks that work on these old trailers.
thanks - I look forward to hearing from you.
