New Pacific Northwest Airstreamers

After doing a bit of lurking here (and learning) we decided to buy our dream RV... a '14 Flying Cloud 27FB last month (in Covington, most positive buying experience we've ever had).

My wife is new to RVing but I've been doing it off and on since 1990 (in a couple SOB's).

We haven't taken our shake-down cruise yet but we're hoping to do so in the next couple months (I'm still working and my plan is to retire in two years).

Just having our Airstream in the driveway gives me a lot of hope; it is absolutely beautiful and we plan to put a lot of miles on it, Lord willing.

BTW, thanks to those of you who suggested a front bedroom configuration. I've always had a rear bedroom set-up before but the rear view (to enjoy the scenery) from the dining area made perfect sense to us.

Thank you. Our tow vehicle is a '12 Ram 3500 CTD 4X4 and towing our Airstream home from the dealer was a dream... thanks to its aerodynamic design, there was no buffeting when the semis passed. (I'm sure this is nothing new to veteran Airstreamers but new to me.)

They have quite a selection in Covington but the AS we finally purchased was in Portland (which wasn't a problem because they transported to Covington the following week). With affiliated dealerships in Covington, Portland, Boise, and the SF Bay Area they are bound to have what your needs.

Welcome 21 Airstream. On the "first" trip out it is a good idea to stay relatively close to home. Wenatchee offers some pretty good options. We have stayed at Lincoln Rock and with the hookups now available have found it a pretty good place.

We really enjoy our 25FB but would love to upgrade to the 27 and perhaps we just might down the road. We purchased ours a couple of years before we retired and when that day came we were ready to get out and hit the highways. Enjoy your time ahead.

Welcome,

If you want to take a short trip, Beebe bridge is a beautiful little campground just up river from you.

Lots of great stuff going on in the NW! Welcome, and I hope we get to see you around a campfire sometime!

I've had that idea. I camped at LRSP before I moved here. It is a very nice park and only about fifteen miles from our home (which means it's not too far to return home to retrieve those things we wished we'd brought with us).

Thank you all for the welcome.
