Hello every one! We are new owners of a
1961 26 ft. Airstream Overlander! We found it for a song at $1000 (and after the storm ANY trailer is hard to find,to live in or for recreation) although it needs some lovin'! It needs a good inside/out scrub and polish and some remodeling...or retromodeling,we wish to make it as close to original as possible while still keeping it comfortable and safe for a family of 5. We are at the upper Texas Coast near the Louisiana border(yea Hurricane Rita ripped us a new one). The trailer came without a fridge and stove, but fortunately/unfortunately we flipped our 21 ft. Prowler on the highway a few years back & salvaged and stored all we could, including the fridge, stove and other necessities.(We and the kids were all ok thank God) (and my SUV!). I feel I have found a wonderful resource here and hope I can ask many questions
during the refurbishment. Ours will be mainly used for family camping and deer camp. We are a married family of 5 and are looking forward to loving using and enjoying our "Very Brady Airstream Vintage Trailer". Please feel free to mail me as well, I welcome all comments and questions.
