New owner (old Airstream!) in Georgia

Just recently bought a 1986 Sovereign 31 footer and dove in this past weekend with first camping trip. Everything went fairly well except for the fact that I could not get any water from the campground water hookup...had to rely on fresh water tank...Problem was with Airstream, I guess my next post will be to post under plumbing to get some advise). I got the bug for an Airstream only about a month ago, and after looking at three, took the plunge with the Sovereign. At first I wasn't considering anything over 27 feet but when I saw this one I fell head over heels!
Anyway, just registered today and look forward to being an active member of the forum.
Tom.

check all the filters/screens in the line. I have seen this problem when it was as simple as replacing the screen in the hose inlet and the screens in each of the faucets, hope that this is your problem as it is easy to fix.

Hey Tom, congrats on the airstream! Do you know about the valve that has to be on for city water to flow? On my 68 it is there at the pump (its a bypass valve). With any luck that is your issue.

Congrats on the New Airstream, the bug only gets worse. Now you will be watching every vehicle you pass, scoping yards, storage area's, and campgrounds just to see if you can see any Aluminum!

This is a great forum! I am about to hook up the hose to my just brought home airstream and did not know about the bypass valve. Something to look for if the water doesn't flow instaed of standing there scrathing my head. Thanks Rodney and good luck and welcome to you Tom. If you haven't figured it out yet, this forum is awsome. Thanks guys.

Welcome to the forums Sovereign86. We are in Fayetteville just south of the Atlanta Airport. You aught to try and make it to the Falluminum rally the last weekend in October. Great folks and great food! We'll be there with about 25-30 of our closest 'streamin' friends.

A big southern welcome to you Sovereign86. Believe it our not, I know where Rockmart is without looking on a map. I second Minnie Mate's invite. We would love for you to join us at the Falluminum Rally.

Welcome to the forums.

Few of us local to you....most of us with older units so you will have the "new coach"

Check around he pump where the city water T's in. There may be a pressure regulator on the line that has gone bad.
