Thumbs up New Owner in NJ!

Good Morning!
Actually joined last summer while starting to research tow vehicles. So I wasn't really expecting things to happen this fast, but all of a sudden, when I took my wife down to Colonial to decide whether to get a queen or twins in the RB of a 25' FC, we decided twins and there was one on the lot so I pulled the trigger.
But no TV! So a good buddy of mine a few days later suggested letting his son in law look for a used TV. I was planning on new, but was looking at a 10 week delivery window.
Anyway, he finds me a 2016 Chevy 2500 HD High Country Duramax Diesel with 4400 miles on it in Buffalo.
I'm on the first flight the next morning to Buffalo and drive it home in the afternoon! Awesome truck, trim a little higher than I wanted, but considering the $$$ I saved, I got lucky!
Anyway, getting ready to retire in a year or so after flying private jets all over the world for the past 35 years and looking forward to seeing things from the ground! Excited to get on the forums and get going!

Welcome. Sounds like things are falling into place! Nice choice on both the AS and the TV.

Greetings from the Florida Panhandle

First off, welcome to the Forums. We're glad to have you with us. We have now had two 25FB's in the last ten years. We have been retired for about ten years, and have been Airstreaming ever since. We are approaching 1,700 nights of Airstream camping all over the country. It has been the time of our lives! We would not trade it for anything.

The 25 foot Airstream is a great size. We have found it quite comfortable for 100 day trips. That's a great choice of a tow vehicle. We have a Duramax. They can really do the job. No exception; no excuses.

Congratulations on your new baby. May you have safe travels and many great Airstream Adventures with her.

Brian

Congrats! We love our 25' rear twin and I'm sure you'll be happy with yours.

Colonial's the place.
