New owner from California

Hi all,
We are the proud owners of a very slightly used 2012 Eddie Bauer. We can't be happier with our new silver trailer and would love any advice you can give. My husband has pulled many trailers, so we're good there. Is there anything that we must have that isn't obvious? We are long-time tent campers who are happy to be out of the dirt!

Welcome Calair! I grew up in Red Bluff so I know how much camping you will enjoy in NorCal! Happy Trails!

Welcome to 'Steaming'. First caution is be certain that you have a good Weight Distrubtion Hitch setup and know how to use it.

Thanks, all! Our trailer came with a weight distributing hitch, which made all the difference hauling it from NM to CA in a winter storm. DH said he didn't even feel the trailer back there--can't say that about our friends' trailers! We have been saving up and waiting for the right unit for our family, and we can certainly say we found it. I'm definitely going to be on the forums seeking wisdom from you!

Great choice! We've got the same unit and love it. We got ours in September so we haven't really gotten a chance to use it much other than a whirlwind trip to Montana. I'm really excited to de-winterized her in the next few weeks and get to streaming!

Greetings from the Florida Panhandle

Welcome to the Forums. We're glad to have you with us. You're going to love the 25FB. We have a 2005 25FB with 1,013 nights of camping and 90,000 under our belts, and still love it. The only advice that we can share is don't let your Airstream collect any dust. Use it.

Welcome aboard. We love our new Airstream.

Set yourself up with a regular inspection and maintenance plan for leaks and corrosion, as well as the Airstream maintenance in your manual. Take good care of it and it will serve you well.

zlee-we'll have to join you next year. We just returned from the East Coast, and I want to enjoy being home this weekend (not to mention a mountain of laundry calling my name). I look forward to meeting fellow Airstreamers--I can't imagine how much I can learn from you all!

Thumbs up Likewise "real soon" to be new owners of new Eddie Bauer

New forum member, new RVer, an new AS owner. We go pick up her Tues. in Eugene then it is on to do a shakeout camping excursion nearby. Boy am I excited. It rates right up there with getting my first three speed bike and my first pickup (66 chev step side). Will probably be doing some checking in quite a bit from the camp ground. Right now the biggest challenge is coming up with a name for our newest and shiniest family member.
