Question New Owner - 28 foot safari

Recently purchased 28 ft Safari(3weeks ago). Spent first nite in it last nite. Notice something weird. Between the fridge and the shower there is an accordion door next to fridge than a wall with full length mirror then the shower. Figured it was for maintenance access untill I noticed a lite is burning behind this wall. Not hinged, no handle seems to be no way to open. Does anyone know whats behind this wall and why is there a lite in ther???? Thanks from a newbie

Oldclown,
I am not familiar with the layout of your Safari, but could it be a light left on in an outside compartment? I know if the light is left on in the rear compartment in our '06 some of the light "bleeds" out around the bed and night stands.

Secret Compartment?

No, this isn't a secret compartment, it is a wardrobe. Pull hard on the flap that goes over the accordian door - there is a closet behind the mirror.

We have a 2005 28' CCD which I believe has the same floorplan as yours.
There is a coat closet between the fridge and the shower that has a 12 volt light in it. The small 'door' that covers the accordion door when it is stowed is also the 'handle' for the closet door - give it a pull and you should find that closet and light. Our closet door has a full length mirror on it - it is easy not to know there is a closet behind it.

If the PO didn't show you this feature, you may find surprises in there when you open it - clothes, coffee maker, etc. Here's hoping it's a stash of cash!!!!

Great sales rep! Let him (or her) know what it really is, to avoid future embarassment for anyone.

Welcome from the Florida Panhandle

First off, welcome to the Forums. We're glad to have you with us.

Remember that there are some very successful RV salesmen who know absolutely nothing about RV's. It sounds like your salesman was one of these. Disregard everything that he told you, and ask your questions here on the Forums, especially if he told you to leave your drain valves open while hooked up at a campground.
