From Texas and a Tradewind owner
I've had my 72 Tradewind for over a year now. Looked for a long time and never found one locally and at a price like you've got so at least you've starting out with a low investment. First thing replaced was the fridge. Yours looks like a tall model and you have little counter top area. Haven't seen one that tall in the Trade Winds. Replaced counter tops with formica, took out some of the old paneling and covered some with real oak veneer. Replaced leaking toilet, put in new furnace and on and on the list goes. Have fun fixing her up and post questions on this forum. I didn't know squat about trailers and have moved through most of the same things you'll be learning about your coach. Love my trailer and have had a blast fixing her up.

Any ideas where to find a front street side banana wrap?
I just ordered a twist on waste valve, I hope that works/fits. I realized the main place I like to travel camp to does not have a waste water hookup and probably frowns on dumping grey water on the ground. What to do if the waste valve leaks and the grey water runs through it?

Totes?????
There are these portable Totes, but if you are in a place where you can't empty it or a TV that you can't or don't want to haul it in. Then I guess repairs are in order. I don't know how one would get the tote in the truck even if you wanted to haul it. I'd think it would be pretty heavy when full.

Now the hot side of the faucet leaks, a drip every 10 seconds, right on the furnace. It's time for a new kitchen faucet. If there are any suggested models I'm open to suggestion, there are so many at the hardware store of varying qualities and different hookups and features. I still haven't got the fridge to work, but the stovetop has served some excellent meals. I can light the pilot for the oven but it's burner does not light.

Also I dug a septic tank using a 55g plastic drum and a 1/2 yard of gravel for it's semi permanent home. That was some work but it will be nice having somewhere to dump the waste water. I was working on the acess panel locks and the spring and one brass part flew off into the grass. I need another latch assembly for parts. UGH. These coke machine key lock cylinders don't match and they cannot be re keyed.
I replaced parts in the front door lock but it's stil a PITA to lock. Luckily unlocking is easy. That locking mechanism is some kind of a bad joke.

Faucet
I bought a new one for my 72 from Loews. It fit into the original holes and can be a hand wand or spray, just like home

It has been a while since I posted anything about the camper.
I replaced the kitchen faucet with one from Home Depot, it's plastic construction, so it's light and has the pull out feature. I love it. When I came back to the AS after the winter, 3 water lines popped out of their quest fittings making quite a mess. One of them popped off again around 3-4 AM which woke me up after a small river was flowing through the camper. I fixed it again in the morning, I guess I did not get the ferrule far enough onto the tubing the first time.
My fresh water side leaked badly when I went to fill it, more things to fix. I may take it to an RV dealer to have it and some other things looked at. I am covered up with projects at the moment.
Here is a pic from October 2010 in East TX.
