New Oregon Streamers
Hello All,
As of yesterday we took the plunge on a new 27FB International Serenity. It wont deliver until later this week but we are committed.
Loretta and I live in Eugene Oregon. Recent transplants from Virginia Beach Va. Had spent the last 26 years there and due to all the "Hope and Change", changed jobs, moved cross country, and in our 6th decade, are having an adventure. Mostly good but we sure miss our friends and family.
So with all the change we decided to do something fun and different so we purchased the Airstream.
It is your standard Serenity package with Asian Sand interior with Taupe UL. It has the 600W inverter, awning package, rear BR TV and the slide-out microwave. I think that is the option list.
We are excited because this is not like buying a new fancy car. It is a lifestyle choice as we see it. We still enjoy a great party and are still very in love. BTW we also have an English Bulldog, Gucci who is a joy. Sharing our weekends and vacation together and with fellow streamers sounds great to us.
We look forward to the coming days ahead.
Best regards,
Mike & Loretta

Mike and Loretta,
Congratulations on your new Serenity!
We have one just like it only ours doesn't have the microwave and it is missing 11 feet....
We love the Serenity and I suspect you will too.
Happy travels,
Bruce

Welcome to 'streaming and welcome to Oregon! We are betting that you will really like your AS and your new home. We are transplanted texans, and just love living in Oregon and camping in our AS in our wonderful state parks. Our AS is named Loretta - could we possibly be related?

Well my wife has named ours "Millie", who was her Mother who recently passed. Millie's sister was also Loretta so you know... I think we are related! Look forward to running into you all soon.

Delivery
Yesterday we took delivery of the 27'FB Serenity. 2+ hours of introduction by Ben the fantastic young tech at the dealer. He knew more about what not to do from all the repairs he has had to make than Jackson Center. The 2 hour drive home went well considering pouring rain! Got home, the rain stopped and we relaxed. Today off to spend, spend, spend! Kidding. We decided to go slow and try to decorate with purpose. We need to just sit in it some more and lay our where we will dedicate our spaces.
Should be fun!

It's settled. We are related. Loretta was named after Cindy's mom (Sylvia Loretta), who also recently passed.
If you have plans to travel to the southern oregon coast in your awesome new AS, please give us a shout-out.

Hi Oregon Airstreamers. My wife and I moved to Lincoln Beach a year and a half ago. We have a 1958 Flying Cloud and were members of the Idaho unit for a couple years. WBCCI #4346. We live a 1/4 mile north of the Sea and Sand RV Resort, Depoe Bay. Please send your news letter and info about the May Rally. We would like to link up with you and it would be the shortest distance trip we ever took.

In addition to WBCCI rallies, you may wish to consider the AlumaFandango Rally in early August being put on by Rich Luhr of Airstream Life Magazine and sponsored to some extent by Sutton RV.. It will be at Seven Feathers RV Resort off I-5 in central Oregon.. We joined 79 other Airstreams at AlumaFiesta in Tucson in February put on by same team (Rich and Bret) and had a great time, including seminars, tours, happy hours, and meeting a lot of other Airstreamers.. See: Alumafandango

This weekend we "Christened" our new Serentity 27'FB. It was not without a few faux-pas but we made it and in the end had a great Easter Weekend and survived! We also got to enjoy a number of Oregon wineries and some wonderful Pinot Noir without the 2 hour drive home. There were a couple of "almost divorced" moments but we really had a fun adventure. Attached are a couple of photos.

Oh, Mike! I sure wish I was in Oregon with you guys. After my daughter graduated from college I took her on a 6 week road trip in my trailer. We headed out from Texas and went straight to Oregon. I do think it's my favorite state of all. Great place to have an AS! So glad you are enjoying life with your new AS. I LOVED the pics, please keep us posted. It 's nice here in Texas right now but I'm hoping to head back to your state late summer. It just gets too hot here for me. If I head your way I'll give you shout! Best wishes---

Welcome, also.
Owning a TT is one thing (even a nice one like these), but not having to drive 1,000-miles to escape the heat would be a dream.
Hope you'll enjoy these forums. Even simple decisions can benefit by a quick search of threads on the problem, accessory or route.
