Hello Airstreamers! We have become airstreamers through a little serendipidy. We bought a home from a couple going full timer and a couple months before we closed on the house a second airstream appeared in thier backyard! Curious, we found out that they had bought the 1979 Argosy Minuet to ship to Africa for the CAPETOWN to CAIRO Caravan in 2009.
The more we thought about it, the more we starting imagining thier life as full timers and the Africa Caravan sounded exciting and compelling. My partner and I travel quite a bit and have spent a lot of time in Asia but have been very curious about Africa.
We talked to the couple that we were buying the house from and found out there was going to be a Cairo to Capetown return trip we asked where do we sign up!
This is how it begins for us! We are sharing the Argosy now. I am going to be in charge of restoring the interior and the other couple is going to take care of the mechanical. We are so excited and cant wait to begin using the ARGOSY here!
