New members, happy to be here!

We've done the RV thing - once - to the Oshkosh airshow - rented from Air Force MWR - when my oldest was 3 weeks old. A few weeks back a good friend told us about this trailer and we bought it sight unseen - less a few photos.

We bought this '78 Sovereign center bath a few weeks back. Pretty original, but in good shape - until my wife decided that it wasn't "clean" enough to go camping - it was a bit "dingy" inside. Her version of cleaning it has it completely gutted, rear sheet of ply out, belly off, etc... We're documenting it in the '74-'79 Sovereign forum and looking for ideas and suggestions...

Looking forward to taking our 3 kids - 7, 4 and 2 camping and see more of the country. Plan is to have it done on Tuesday. We are almost destruction complete - a couple more interior panels and we're ready to put it back together. 1/2 way there, right? Hoping for lots of input from everyone here on how to do this!

Looking forward to lots of learning, fun and memories with "Strut Airstream" as she's been dubbed and the new friends we meet here.

Hello from Colorado and welcome to the Airstream community and these Air Forums. You are jumping in the deep end with your Sovereign project. I have a friend here who has a 75 Sovereign that he is renovating also. I'm glad you started a project thread and I'll look for it.

I have a 75 Overlander International twin bed that I am renovating. Our trailers are similar, although Airstream is always making changes. I find it very enjoyable to work on the old thing and figure out how to complete this or that repair. It's a big project, but a fun one. I look forward to exploring more of Colorado with the thing when its done.
