Hi Everyone,

My wife and I are inheriting a 1988 AS Limited 34'. We're planning on picking it up from Texas this coming winter, making sure it's safe and livable and then living in it full time in Missouri until we find some land to build a house.

The trailer has been sitting under cover for ~10 years, made one trip from TX to TN and back but was never lived in during that time, just parked. I have not been able to inspect the trailer, I do know I'll need to put tires on it. I've also thought about converting it from 30A to 50A, but that project will be prioritized behind safety items.

Anyway, we look forward to sharing our adventures!

Hi!!
Welcome to the forum!! We have a 1989 31'
Excella, bought in 2015. Besides tires(we upgraded to 16" and LT tires), we replaced the axles (came with new brakes) as they are good for about 25 years. Get the 3" lift kit as well, helps with clearances!! We upgraded/replaced items (converter, A/C, etc.) while we used the trailer. Good luck with your new rig!!

Hi from Colorado: We have a similar story. We inherited a 86 Limited 34' that my wife's folks bought new. They thoroughly enjoyed their retirement years in the thing joining many Airstream caravans. They also lived in it for about 6 weeks during the winter. Snow birds.

We have owned the trailer since 05. I've done some extensive work to it through the years. We enjoy traveling in the spring and fall seasons. We don't spend as many nights in it as the wife's folks did, but we enjoy it nonetheless.

Airstream trailers last a long tine. Post pictures when you get a chance.
