Hi Everyone!
We're Jan and Stephen from Michigan. Currently we are seeking out a vintage Airstream. Jan grew up camping in a 1963 19' Globetrotter. She and her family were members of the WBCCI and regularly attended rallies. It is our dream to find that same year and model to make our own. We love the openness of the front and side gaucho layout. So, if anyone has any leads on a Globetrotter of that size and vintage we'd truly appreciate hearing about it. Thanks! Happy travels!

welcome to the forums. having had both a 63 and a 70 globetrotter, they are great little trailers. the down-side is that the smaller AS's go for more than the larger trailers do.just keep an eye on the ASclassifieds, e-bay ect. are you familiar with all that you need to check on a vintage AS? good-luck on your search. kurt

Welcome from Colorado: My son has a 69 Globetrotter 21' that we have done some extensive work to. It was the first year of the new body style. I had a 66 Trade Wind 24' that I renovated. It was a traditional floor plan with twin beds and a rear bath. I sold it and bought a 75 Overlander 27'. It is a larger, more comfortable trailer but isn't small and cute. Good luck in your search. Expect to pay more for a small, cute Airstream. The market is hot now and they generally sell fast.

Thanks Everyone! I apologize for the delay in my reply. However, I have GREAT news! We are now the owners of a 1965 Airstream Globetrotter 20 ft. We hope to be out camping with it next month. We genuinely appreciate the advice we received in response to our initial post. This forum is a wonderful resource. Happy camping everyone!

Wow! Congratulations on your 65 Globetrotter. You will likely have lots of fun with that one. Gotta post pictures of the thing when you get a chance.

Here is a photo of a early 60s Globetrotter that was at the vintage rally I attended last year. It was well restored.

Hello,

I just purchased a 2019 Flying Cloud 25FB. Im in the process of getting a spot in an RV Park in San Andreas CA, where I can plug in (water, sewer, electricity). Im going full time .

My plan is to boondock at the local lakes a couple weekends out of the month to get the bugs out and learn, trial by fire, as the saying goes.

Once I get the hang of it Id like to take some road trips, (maybe connect with some fellow Airstreamers) as mountain biking is my new hobby. (Also posted in another thread, not sure it it was still active).

Setting up, taking it off the lot next week!
