New Member, Striking Out for Alaska (I think)
I plan on leaving Las Vegas for somewhere in Alaska beginning in mid July. I plan on stopping in Jackson, WY to visit a cousin for a week or two and then up I-15 into Canada and eventually Anchorage. I just bought an AS Interstate and I will be travelling by myself. I have traveled alone before, but it has been decades and what concerns me is figuring out the mechanics of this wonderful machine.
It's nice to find this group. I just hope I can find internet connections - and/or a good cell phone. Up 'til now I haven't needed a cell phone, but I love my laptop computer and my Magic Jack.
Can you suggest a cell phone carrier? Any tips on getting internet? Free internet is suppose to be fairly available - so I have heard.
