new member So. Calif.

I'm retired after 30 years in law enforcement. Now it's time to play. First toy is a '56 Chevy Bel Air, second is a replica 1957 Porsche speedster. Tried a sailboat for a while but it was berthed under a large pine tree full of nesting Terns that used it as a bombing target. After waiting over a year for a new slip with no results I finally decided to sell the sailboat. (Got tired of having to wash off the bird poop every week.)

Also love camping and Airstream trailers. The price of new ones was more than I wanted to spend. So after a lot of searching I finally found a nice 1987 25ft Sovereign. With a little paint here and there, new carpeting, a new toilet and a little polishing it's looking pretty good.

This forum is a wealth of information, glad I found it.

I live in Southern Calif and look forward to meeting other Airstreams out and about on my camping excursions.

Hi and welcome. We have quite a few members in SoCal - be sure to look for rallies in your area.

Bill,

Welcome to the Forum. If you're up for a little ride up the coast, there will be a rally at Lake San Antonio later this month.

Here's a link to the info. Over 30 trailers are confirmed. Join the group if you can.
