New Member Old Trailer

Hello Fellow Airstreamers,
This is my first contribution the the Airstream Forums. Hope this works.
I have been a Trailer owner for three years and have had a few successful adventures, not including restoration. I own a 1962 Safari Double that has been completely restored. Not an off frame restoration, but front sub floor sections replaced. Original cabinets and layout but all utilities had to be replaced. Someday I will get photos together to show on the site.
We (with girlfriend Jane) plan to head west this season and to attend the International. With many stops along the way and also attend the New England Regional Alumination Celebration in August. Buying gas will be the best part! So enough about me, I've got to go pick up tools from todays trailer project.

Hi Gary and Jane:

Welcome to the Forums! Are you going to park with the Vintage Airstreams in Salem? Many of us from the Denver Unit will be parking in the Vintage 30 amp section, and we highly recommend it as a beehive of informal vintage activities. We all look forward to meeting you this June.

A Fellow Safari 62'er

Hi Gary and Jane,

I stumbled onto your post when looking at attendees of the Alumination Rally which I was considering. My wife Jocelyn and I just bought a 1962 Safari from Cornish Maine. I'm guessing that's not too far from you guys. I'll look for you if we make it to New Hampshire in August.

Look forward to some pictures!

Steve H.

Do try to attend this year's Alumination Celebration - It should be a blast! I'm really looking forward to the lighting display/contest on Friday, August 18th. I did a preview of my display while camping with some NEU and WMNH friends (not a rally, just camping) this last weekend and found I need even more lights! Will now be digging out my Christmas tree lights to add to the mix, along with some rope lights for the underneath of my trailer and some spot lights for my pink flamingo collection.
