New Member long trip
Hey group, new to airforums old A/S owner, at least the last 10 years or so. We have a 1975 Safari Land Yatch 25'. Initially re-did the upholstery and drapes. After the first couple of trips had the fridge redone
because none of the new ones would fit. Then a couple of years ago replaced the floor with Marmoleum. This year is dump valve replacement time and am not looking forward to it but we are heading out over 7000 miles or so and do not want any headaches!!!! New tires are also in the picture. Thanks for the helpful threads I have read so far and will be posting pics soon.

My fridge only works on propane. The 110 system does not work. So how much did it cost you for repair?

Hi Hobiemon,
Welcome to the Forums, this is a great place for info! I, too, am interested in the cost of the refrg. rebuild and who did it. Thanks!

Fridge Repair
If I remember correctly it was around $1200 cdn but was well worth it as the alternative was a complete cabinet rebuild for a new one as there were none on the market that would fit there. The fridge is still working great after 5 years. We had it done by MRO RV Services in Burnaby BC. No problems.

How is the Marmoleum holding up? Did you install, sheet, tiles or click? I am having it installed this week in my 78 25ft Caravanner and we are installing a 1/2" sub floor on top of the original sub even though it was OK anyway but since it was 30 years old we thought it would be best. Have you had any issued with the Marmoleum product?

Marmoleum
The marmoleum is great, easy to clean, all natural product, We have it in our kitchen at home also. The entry/galley in the A/S is sheet, then transitions to 20" tile for the sleeping area and different tile for the bath. All are complementary colors. Marmoleum is one of the best wearing floors around. We installed it ourselves over the existing floor which was in great shape. Good luck and enjoy your new floor.
