Hello Everyone,

I an excited to say after years of tents, a pop up camper and several different travel trailers, we just purchased out first Airstream a 30FB Bunk and we take delivery on Sept. 5. I have always wanted a Airstream, but my wife was concerned about the price and space compared to other brands with slides. I got her go look at the Airstreams with an open mind and she really liked the bunk model for the grandkids. Can't wait.

Dancer.

Welcome to the forum.

Lots of great reading here on nearly any topic. Some topics are very polarized and can extend for lots of posts. Nearly every poster on here has opinions and some are even based upon facts. :roll eyes:

The thread "What did you get for your trailer today" is probably the most expensive thread here. One has to really control the "I gotta get one of those" urges.

Good luck in your research for accessories.

The initial Airstream investment is just the beginning.

Welcome to the Airstream community. Sounds like your long term aspiration will be met after labor day. Airstream trailers are different, and not for everyone. They are small compared to the boxes on wheels. I think you will find them well designed and well built. The aluminum semi-monocoque constructions offers strength and long life. And they tow very well, especially in some of those strong Texas crosswinds.

Our Airstream is a 1986. It has been to Texas many, many times. There are just a big bunch of Airstreamers in Texas. It's a nice place for northerners to spend some of the long, cold winter weeks.

Here is a photo of our trailer in Reno a couple of years ago. You can figure on having the most unique camper in the park, or the woods if you like to boondock.
