Hello All, I've just bought a 1975, 28' Argosy TT . At present it requires a great deal of TLC to get it right from the 14+ years of neglect . I'm hoping to at least be able to use it by the latter part of the summer. I've gained a great deal of knowledge just by reading thru some of the restoration that is being done. I'm sure I'll need some advice as time goes on.

Best regards and happy traveling.

Keith and Johnya,
Welcome! I would normally not reply but seeing as how you live where the Jefferson Davis monument is located I have to say "Hi"!
I have spent a great deal of time in Bowling Green at the Corvette plant. My dad came from Paducah and I have been up in the JD monument several times on our way over to Bowling Green to camp at Beech Bend Park!
We need a rally at Beech Bend!
Anyway, glad to see you here. Hopefully our paths will cross soon!

Hello Keith,
Welcome to the forums. Finally someone else on the Forums in West Kentucky! I live near Marion in Crittenden Co. We have a small rally planned this weekend at Hilmans Ferry in the LBL. If you can make it over you are more than welcome.

This is great. All winter I have tried to locate forum members in the West Kentucky area. I decided I was the only one. Now in less than a week two new members have posted. Add in swebster from Louisville and scf31 from winchester plus GreggH from around Nashville and we have the start of a forum group. Too bad General Disarray is moving soon. Oh, I forgot I also got a PM from a member in Evansville Indiana that is interested.
Check out this thread:

It was about the aborted mini rally this weekend, but GreggH is trying to get something going for the weekend of Mar 31 - Apr 2.

Hello All, It is great to see the number of people who live or have past through the Land Between the Lakes (LBL) area. It is truly an enjoyable recreational area with many outdoor activities. I live in Hopkinsville, which is 35 miles from LBL. On another note I finally removed the 14+ years of mold and grime from the exterior of the Argosy. Now I'm working on the end caps, which I'm glad to say are not as badly rusted as my first visual inspection lead me to believe. Once I get the hull good and sealed I can then replace the front floor, water damage. I've read some of the forums on water damaged floors and will use this new knowledge during the rebiuld. My goal is to install a wood floor, possible cork (from a prior Forum) or Cherry. I also hope to post some pictures soon, I wished now I would have taken some pictures when I first got it. I guess hind sight truly is 20/20.

Take Care and God Bless
Happy Travels
