After owning an airstream for ten years, I sold it and missed it. I now have a 1972 Globetrotter which is completely gutted. I am now in the process of trying to put it all back together. I appreciate this forum and the information I have already learned. Somebody out there tell me why the freezer portion of the refrigerator is cold and the refrigerator is hot?? Is it worth spending money on a 39 year old refrigerator? This is the first of a zillion questions I have and appreciate all the help and advice anyone has for me. Thanks.

Walter

That's what mine did. I was told that's an indicator that it's on it's last leg. My wife didn't like it's looks, so I bought a new one to replace it.

Eastern South Dakota is very pretty with hills, rivers, and trees.

There are a number of very smart Airstreamer's in Georgia. Several helped me get my 1976 Back on the road. Try to get your's together and join us in Hawassie in the fall. Many would love to see your creation.

Greetings, Walter, and welcome to AirForums!

RV refrigerators, being what they are, are a source of nearly constant "entertainment" (if you can call it that). I'm sure you'll find a good number of recommendations here, starting with burping it to replacing coils to outright replacement.

Again, welcome to the forums!

Lynn

Walter, welcome back into the fold - from a fellow Cobb County-ite!

I can't help you with your frig problem, as I am technically challenged, but hope we will see you on the road or around town. There's a lot of us in GA and surrounding states.

PS We store over at Three Way on 41.
